Shed build and hot house.

When we took over our plot there was a dark rat infested shed, but on the plus side it had a grape vine growing in a part of it. At a guess I would say that side was a potting shed but by the time we got there it was not in great shape.

The photo below was taken by my wife on our first day at the plot. that is me and the kids with my sister.

We always wanted to build a shed that was a nice space for us and the children, but at that moment we didn't have any material.

It was only when my friend told me he was getting rid of his old conservatory and I could have it that then kick started the whole build. We were also lucky enough to get a load of plywood boards from a house that had been turned into a cannabis farm. My father inlaw had to repair the damage that was done.

Our plan for the new shed was to have the greenhouse built on the side of it, to create a hot house. I started by making the base, which was made with the old flagstone paths ( are plan was to always take them up and use wood chip, to make it safer for the kids ) . After the base was made we built the shed out of the recycled boards and timber from the original shed. I also recycled the metal sheets from the original shed and used them as cladding at the rear.

The next step was to build the hot house and put the roof on. Keeping in line with the recycling theme, the roof cladding came from a football stadium in Liverpool. One of the two main clubs but I can't remember which one.

The space is amazing, we start all our seeds in there as well as growing tomatoes and cucumbers. We also managed to keep the grape vine.

and cucumbers. We also managed to save the grape vine.
